Helen was born to Don(Daniel) Zuck and Dora(Nee:Bodnarchuk). She grew up in Detroit Michigan, Auburn New York, Hafford and MacDowell. When she was sixteen she left home and worked at The Pas and later married Jack McCallister a R.C.M.P. officer stationed in Flin Flon Manitoba. They had a daughter Karen. Helen later went back to Detroit and married a farmer John Brooks and they had a daughter Heather.
